What is APPA Market?

APPA Market was created by APPA Mundi to provide a mechanism for Windows Phone developers outside of the current Marketplace countries to publish their applications. APPA Market have a particular focus on developers in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) countries. We do accept registration from all other countries except those for which Microsoft's App Hub is already supported*.

What does it cost?

Annual registration is £65.00 (GBP) which is applied to your account and can be used on a variety of services:-
  • Application Submission is £30.00
  • Application Update is £6.00
  • Device Unlock (1 per account) is £25.00
Resubmission following a Marketplace test failure is free. APPA Market retain 15% of the income from paid applications to cover the administration costs of publishing your apps and providing billing and reports.

How do I get paid?

Your royalties for apps will be paid to you in arrears via PayPal.

What languages can I submit?

Your app must at a minimum include an English version. You can optionally submit additional supported languages (French, German, Italian and Spanish).

How is product support handled?

You must provide all product support for your application. You will supply an email address with your application listing which should be used for all support requests. We recommend you provide a feedback mechanism within your app to allow the user to easily send a support email.

Do you have any offers for students?

If you are within our focus countries and have a valid DreamSpark ID you can register for £25.00.

What do I need to submit?

When you are ready to submit your app you'll need your completed .XAP application package built in Release (not Debug) configuration. You'll also need to provide product icons and a description and screenshots in each language you plan to support.

How do I track my apps?

When you submit an application you'll see the current status on the website so you can see when it is available on Marketplace or if it failed testing. Every month we'll update your account with the sales data as received from Microsoft.

What happens if my app fails testing?

We'll pass on to you the test report which will show you on which aspects of the Marketplace requirements it failed. You can then resubmit your modified XAP package for free.

How does device unlock process works?

Device activation is remote process, where we will need to remotely login to your Windows PC and unlock the device for you.
In order to do that, you need to have preinstalled:
  • Windows Phone 7 developer’s tools
  • Zune
  • TeamViewer to allow remote access (http://www.teamviewer.com)
  • You need to name your device into something meaningful, so we know it was your device registered
After a successful unlock, we will deduct £25.00 from your account.
When you have installed all prerequisites, you can Request device unlock, and provide us all required info.
We will contact you within 24 hours (ussualy the same working day) to arrange for device unlock.
